Recently I went again to the Flea market at the German School where they open its doors twice a year to the public where one can find everything from second-hand clothes for babies and toddlers (some adult clothes as well), books and all kinds of toys for children and few other things.
Usually, the quality of the items offered is really good and prices are pretty reasonable.
The official opening time is 11am but if you have been there you know that the good stuff gets already sold out much earlier. Quite a few people show up already around 9am when the first vendors start selling their goods.
It is better not to bring the kids as it gets really crowded. There is a small playground nearby where kids can play with one parent while the other goes wild shopping.
Every time I go, I tend to spend around 40-50 Euros on lots of children’s books, a few new toys, audio CDs for the kids. As well as outdoor play equipment such as little motorbikes or small slide for the garden in very good condition.
There is also a section with home-baked goods and snacks at the market. Visitors can relax and meet other parents.
The next flea market will be held again in autumn!
