Opened in late 2016 the Beach Motel Heiligenhafen is a large resort offering both hotel-style rooms and suites (sleeping up to 4), and a variety of individually decorated apartments (sleeping 4 to 6) for those who prefer more independence with their kids.
Its location right on the beach and directly opposite a long pier with play areas, sunbathing decks and swim platforms is ideal for young families.
Tastefully decorated in a modern ‘beach house’ style with lots of bleached wood, rattan, wicker and pale colours, the resort has a very chilled out ambience and attracts a young, fun and fashionable clientele.

The Area
Located on the Baltic Sea, Heiligenhafen is a popular holiday destination for those seeking fresh sea breezes and long sandy beaches. A small town, Heiligenhafen is a lively place with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops to browse, as well as a picturesque fishing harbour and a yacht marina.
A family-friendly destination there is a playground and an outdoor pool in the town, and a pier opposite the resort that extends out into the sea for over 400 metres has play areas for little ones, sunbathing decks for adults, and places from which one can jump into the sea.
If you need a break from the watersports and beach games, the bridge over to the beautiful island of Fehmarn is just 10km away. Once on the island, there is a great museum and aquarium, a butterfly park and several beaches, all of which are sure to delight the youngsters.
Close to the town is a nature reserve that is home to hundreds of birds and interesting plant life, and the Hansa-Park Sierksdorf theme park is a 30 minute drive away.
