Hotel Camiral is located in the heart of the PGA Catalunya Resort, a world-class golf destination perfect for families, couples, and of course golf aficionados. The hotel was redesigned in 2016 by the renowned Catalan designer and architect Lázaro Rosa-Violán. The modern, tastefully decorated interior combines with the rolling green landscape of the golf course around it to create a serene, relaxing atmosphere for guests of all ages.

Camiral has several activities designed especially with families in mind. The main swimming pool is family-friendly, with shallow areas for children to play in, and the second smaller splash pool is perfect for babies and toddlers. The Forest Park is great for adventure-seekers. The aerial park’s two circuits are designed for older children and teenagers to climb, swing, and zipline through the trees, all with the safety of secure gear and supervision. The hotel also has an outdoor play area and a kids club where children can explore away from their parents and make new friends.

Outside the resort, the Costa Brava with its clear blue beaches and secluded coves is only 30 minutes away. The hotel offers free shuttle service to several beaches during the summer months.

The Area

Caldes de Malavella is a small town close to the city of Girona, halfway between the Costa Brava and its gorgeous beaches and the majestic landscapes of the Pyrenees. It’s known for its hiking trails, the Roman ruins and medieval walls that can still be visited today, and most of all its natural thermal baths. The nearby PGA Catalunya Golf course, where the hotel is located, attracts world-class players from around the world, and is ranked as one of the 10 best golf courses in Europe.

Girona Colourful River Houses with The Little Voyager

Girona is a Catalonian city with a rich history that stretches back nearly two thousand years, all the way back to Roman times. The city lies at the confluence of several rivers, and visitors can walk across one of several bridges to take in views of the picturesque houses built along the Onyar River. Another popular destination is El Call, the Jewish Quarter, which remains largely intact and is one of the best preserved in Europe.

Several of these historic sites, including the medieval barri velland the Girona Cathedral, have been used as film and TV sets, most recently for the popular show Game of Thrones.

Girona is only 40 minutes away from Barcelona by high-speed express train.

The Sergio Garcia Junior Academy introduces young players aged from 6 to 16 to the game of golf. This programme runs in July and August, and covers everything from the basics of golf rules and etiquette to more advanced aspects like strategy and types of strokes. The PGA Resort also offers camps for Elite Junior Athletes looking to perfect their game.

Forest Park

Forest Park is an onsite family adventure park, set in the shade of the hotel’s beautiful woodland. It’s perfect for groups looking for a new (and safe) challenge. The Park has two rope circuits, including one for children for younger children (though they need to be over 120 cms tall to participate). The rope circuits include walkways, ziplines and platforms, all perched up among the tree trunks.

Spain’s Costa Brava has some of the most beautiful waterfronts in the country, with plenty of rocky coves and secluded beaches to explore. The hotel offers free shuttles to several nearby beaches throughout the summer months.
