Marta and her family stayed at Hotel Forsthofgut in February 2017: "Cuando conocí a Ilonka y le dije que nos íbamos a casar, no imaginaba hasta qué punto agradecería su consejo de viaje!. Siguiendo sus siempre dulces y cuidadosas recomendaciones, nos alojamos en el Naturhotel Forsthofgut. Increíble!. Sabíamos en cierto modo que iba a ser una estancia cómoda y no renunciábamos a nada. Pero superó todas nuestras expectativas. Se trata de un hotel precioso en un emplazamiento maravilloso. La atención prestada al cliente, y sobretodo a los niños, es inmejorable. Las instalaciones están perfectamente preparadas para que familias con niños puedan disfrutar de las estancias interiores y exteriores en cualquier momento del año. El servicio de guardería es excepcional, y dispone de unos equipamientos también interiores y exteriores fantásticos para que los pequeños pasen un rato más que agradable sin echar de menos a sus padres, quienes aprovecharán para disfrutar de las excursiones programadas en el propio hotel. Nosotros estuvimos 10 días de febrero y no hubo tiempo para el aburrimiento. Disfrutamos de las clases de esquí para nuestro hijo de 4 años en las pistas de al lado del hotel. Después del ejercicio nos íbamos todos a relajar con un baño calentito en la piscina climatizada con salida al exterior, desde donde podíamos observar las montañas y a sus esquiadores. Nuestros ratos libres eran ocupados con largos paseos en trineo por los caminos de alrededor. Por la tarde volvíamos al hotel y comíamos hasta hartarnos. Soy una fan del queso y de los pasteles, y nunca vi tanta variedad junta! Después de cenar, los más peques iban corriendo al Kindergarten donde les esperaba la Gutenachtgeschichte. Qué más se puede pedir? Es por eso que te damos las gracias Ilonka y te felicitamos por tu maravillosa web “The Little Voyager”. Nuestro viaje ha sido inolvidable!"

For years we found the most charming little hotels and enjoyed sun, skiing, and delightful local cuisine and wines. Somehow we were convinced this bliss would be over as soon as babies came into the picture so we were ready (although reluctantly) to embrace a much less appealing and quaint location when planning our first winter trip with our one year old baby boy. Thanks to The Little Voyager however we found something that married both our need for the practical aspects of traveling with an infant and our longing for charm, nice interiors, good service and food. The hotel Ilonka recommended (Forsthofgut in Austria) was beyond our wildest expectations. It is ideally located right on the pistes, offers a lot of fun and well thought off activities for the little ones but was also an absolute satisfaction for us parents. The food is way above average, the service couldn't be topped (from bottle sterilising, to baby phones, to a full baby changing kit in the room, to the friendliest staff possible and so much more), the spa (and especially the quiet room) are outstanding and the interiors are chic, yet cosy, yet unpretentious, yet so well thought off that you would never believe being in a so called family hotel. It truly made us see that kid friendly can still mean a fantastic, and appealing holiday for us which we will always be grateful for."
