Sani Beach is an award-winning hotel, located in a prime position on a 7km pine-fringed beach in Halkidiki, is ideal for action-packed family holidays at the seaside.
It’s not only the exceptional facilities and activities that guests return for year after year, but also the outstandingly warm and friendly staff.
Part of the Sani Resort, there are several beaches within the complex but the one right in front of the hotel is ideal for youngsters, with shallow, calm water and lifeguards on duty.
The hotel has several heated pools (also with lifeguards), both indoors and out, and a choice of bars and restaurants offering everything from light snacks to fine dining, featuring Greek and international cuisine. The Dine Around Programme means guests of the hotel can dine at 22 restaurants within the Sani Resort.
Families are exceptionally well catered for, with a Peppa Pig-themed crèche for the very young and a Kids Club for older children, all staffed by UK-trained child carers. Learning opportunities abound with baby swimming lessons, sports academies and eco-tours, and parents are just as spoiled for choice, with the option of trying new water sports, taking tennis lessons, cycling, relaxing at the spa or even learning about beekeeping!
Children can enjoy the indoor pool from the spa at Sani Beach every day from 8am-2pm. If there is bad weather, the hotel offers extra splash times for families from 5 to 7pm.
In the evenings there is live entertainment, including tribute bands and theatre acts, and a babysitting service for when parents want a night out as a couple.
The refurbished rooms are all spacious, light and airy with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sea or gardens. All have an en suite bathroom, and a private balcony, terrace or garden, and are decorated in an elegant contemporary style, with soothing shades that echo the colours of sea and sand. The hotel offers different suites and rooms that are all suitable for families.

The Area
Kassandra, the westernmost peninsula in Halkidiki, is technically an island, separated from the mainland by a canal. The most populated of the three peninsulas, it is famed for its stunning natural beauty: it’s an intoxicating mix of steep wooded hillsides that descend to pristine sandy beaches, calm aquamarine seas, tranquil wetlands and quaint villages.
The cleanliness of the beaches and their calm, clear seas have earned many of Kassandra’s beaches a Blue Flag rating and there is no shortage of options for those wanting to practice water sports. Most of the large, upscale resorts are located along the east coast, from where one can take boat trips to the holy mountain of Athos or outlying islands.
There is more to Kassandra than just beaches, however. There are impressive caves to explore, ancient churches to visit, excellent local food to be tasted and fragrant forests to explore. Lively beach bars make for a vibrant nightlife, and two major festivals, Sani and Siviris, are held each year.
Kassandra is less than an hour’s drive from Thessaloniki (about 40 minutes).
