This beautiful boutique hotel has found the perfect balance for both families and couples, with a designated family pool that has its own loungers and pool bar, as well as a separate adults-only area that includes garden and swimming pool. The hotel truly offers something for everyone.

The property itself is gorgeous, with tastefully sparse white architecture that offsets the vivid colours of the lush gardens. Children can run through the trees and play by the hotel’s pond, which has turtles, fish, and frogs, without worrying about disturbing the other guests. In the summer, the outdoor Kids Adventure Club includes a chill area for babies and toddlers, as well as daily programmes for older kids with activities like arts and crafts and traditional Portuguese games.

In addition to the beautiful property itself, the hotel is also conveniently located close to Faro airport and the coast. Guests can take a shuttle to Fuseta, and from there take a 5-minute boat ride to Fuseta Island and its beaches.

The Area

Olhao is the largest fishing port of the Algarve, and serves as a gateway to several beautiful islands nearby, which are known for their white-sand beaches perfect for swimming, relaxing, and even snorkelling. The town is known for its municipal market that combines the fish market, which offers the day’s fresh catch for sale, and the fruit and vegetable market. Olhao is also known for being a great jumping-off point for the nearby wetlands of the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

The town itself is picturesque and quiet (though it gets busier in the summer). The white, square houses denote the area’s Moorish influences. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for azulejos, traditional blue-tiles that depict some of the historic events of the town. And no visit to Olhao would be complete without tasting some of the delicious fresh fish and shellfish served in most of the area’s restaurants.

The Algarve is without doubt Portugal’s prime holiday destination. The club is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
