The Area
Neustadt bei Holstein is a small town in the Bay of Lübeck on the Baltic Sea. It’s a popular destination for German tourists, and is known for its charming waterfront, the weekly outdoor market that has been going for 128 years, and the typical northern German brick architecture of its downtown area.
If you’re in the mood to take in the local art scene, the Neustadt Art Kilometre that runs on the promenade along the harbour features sculptures and installations by several Schleswig-Holstein artists. Nearby, the zeiTTor is a tactile museum where visitors of all ages can discover what life was like for the people of Neustadt in the past. The museum is designed for visitors to touch and feel the exhibits, which makes it a fun experience for children.
