Sarah T. stayed at The French Gites  in September 2019 with her family: "We stayed at The French Gites for 6 nights in September 2019 and loved our stay! As a family with 2 young children, we prefer self catering holidays primarily so that we can feed the kids what they want, when they want it (!) without the formality of a hotel dining room. We’ve also learned that some outside space is key, so that we can relax with a drink in the evening whilst the kids are in bed, rather than all sharing one hotel room and sitting in the dark being careful not to wake sleeping children! Ilonka at The Little Voyager perfectly understood our requirements and The French Gites surpassed all expectations. We stayed in Jasmin, the larger cottage. The property is charming, comfortable and stylish. Plenty of space for our family. We loved exploring the garden and barns. The pool and barn bar were great! Our 4 year old had great fun fetching the croissants each morning and feeding the chickens! We flew from London to Toulouse and hired a car. We spent a few days chilling by the pool and enjoyed day trips to Carcassonne and the beach at Leucate, as well as lunches out in Mirepoix and Limoux."

Arne H. stayed at The French Gites  in July 2020 with his family: "We spent a wonderful week at the French Gîtes with our 2 children. Cottage 3 was perfect for us: charming, cosy and equipped with with everything we needed. The property is beautifully renovated and very well taken care of. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and meeting the other lovely families staying there at the same time. The pool was a fresh reward after a day of sightseeing in the sun. And the pizzas on our last evening were not only delicious, but a lovely way to say goodbye. There is so much to see and do in the area, for both adults and children! Thank you, Tilly, for being such a great host and Ilonka for recommending the property to us. We hope to be back some day!"

Bengu stayed at The French Gites with her family in August 2020: "Just back from a very relaxing vacation at South France. For the first time we tried two of the locations recommended by The Little Voyager - The French Gites and The French Hamlet. We enjoyed both places - cannot even choose which one is better :-)! My kids (7 and 9) felt very much at home and enjoyed the freedom at the premises. Great hosts, great locations. And Ilonka definitely makes a difference with her customer service. Thankfully we were finally able to go on our family holiday this year! We had the most delightful stay at the French Gites with our children age 3 & 5. The owners are exemplary hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. As parents, we appreciated the toys and books in the gite while we prepared meals, etc. We enjoyed days out to Carcassonne, markets in Limoux, swimming at the lake in Puivert, and Mirepoix. All within a very short driving distance away which is ideal with small children. We would 100% recommend The L.V and look forward to booking our next trip away."
